The Look

My pulse started racing when I came across this thrifted cheetah blazer.

I typically start my consignment journey in the blazer aisle of the thrift store. It’s always so hard for me to come across a good over-sized blazer that I like. They’re either too tiny, filled with lint, or they look a little too vintage.

When I came across this cheetah beauty, I had to snag her. And she’s actually super lightweight, so it’s a nice little blazer to wear in the Spring and Summer months. And for some reason, cheetah and leopard are always a yes for me in the Fall.

I paired this thrifted cheetah blazer with distressed boyfriend jeans, a black tank and a thrifted Yves Saint Laurent bag.

Wear Your Thrifted Style

While we’re on the topic of thrifting, I couldn’t help but mention the importance of wearing your style.

Thrift stores are like a treasure chest full of different personalities, body sizes and stories. You can always find something that fits your personal style. Your style matters. Not only because we can always use more fashion inspiration, but because it’s yours.

Your unique style says so much about you. It doesn’t matter how weird or old school you think your style is. Wear it and own it. As long as you feel good in it, you look good in it.

I know that we’re completely consumed in a generation where everyone has the same body, the same face and the exact same wardrobe. But it’s okay to rock your shoulder pads even if it’s not the 80s. It’s also okay to wear hip huggers in a high waisted crazed culture.

We can’t be so afraid to take risks with our own style that we miss out on being truly and authentically who we are meant to be. And who knows, maybe you will inspire the masses.
